Working with Staffordshire University, Humanoid helped to raise £1300 for the Alzheimer’s Society by filming a performance by Elvis tribute artist Mark Clay. The event was arranged with Vice Chancellor Professor Christine King, an avid Elvis fan and long time supporter of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Mark performed two sets to a sell-out crowd and delivered a great performance. The first set was based around Elvis’ early career, followed by a costume change before rocking his way through the Vegas years.
All ticket proceeds went to the Alzheimer’s Society, donated at the end as a presentational cheque.
Mark said: “It is my pleasure to do these evenings as it is for a fantastic cause and I am always happy to come back to the University to raise the charity’s profile”
Ray Nash, Alzheimer’s Society Community Fundraiser for the West Midlands, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic effort and it is great to have the continued support of Staffordshire University and Mark. Not only is it great to have this support for the society, it is also brilliant that everybody had such a good time in the process!”
