The citizens of Stafford lined the streets this Sunday to celebrate the inauguration of James Stanley Highfield of Stone, Staffordshire as the new mayor of Stafford Borough. After donning his ceremonial gowns and chain at Stafford’s Gatehouse Theatre, Highfield delivered a warm address to the assembled dignitaries, telling them “we have a borough, frankly, all of us should be proud of”.
