About Us
How we work

The client gives us a rough description of the purpose and style of the video they would like produced, either by meeting our representative in person or via telephone (0845 052 6808), email (enquiries@humanoidproductions.com) or the form on our web site.
2. Quotation
We draw up a quotation for the job, as described. The original idea can be modified to reduce costs before a budget is agreed upon.
3. Deposit
The client places a deposit, covering the pre-production costs of the project. This is charged at 25% of the full production cost.
4. Pre-production meeting
We meet with the client, and discuss the specifics of the project, lending our expertise and creative flair to planning the best possible video. This includes story-boarding of shots, selection of locations and cast, plus any other specifics such as timescale. Once the details are agreed upon, we prepare to shoot the video.
5. Shooting
We shoot the video to the agreed specifications and dates. The client can be present on set to ensure that their expectations for the video are being met.
6. Rough cut
We show the client our initial edit of the finished video, and take note of any feedback.
7. 2 modifications sessions
We return to the client with the new edit. This can be at the clients location or in our Stafford based offices. They are free to request a further two editions of the video with additional modifications, at no extra cost. Any Production under £500 is eligible for one modification session, each additional modification session will be charged at £75.
8. Final cut
The final version of the video is delivered to the client in the pre- agreed format, and they receive an invoice. Any pre-production costs not covered by the initial deposit will be included here. Any additional modifications requested will be quoted for individually.
Every job is customised to its individual specification and the above steps may not be applicable in certain cases however wherever possible this workflow will be followed to give the client maximum efficiency from us as a company. For further information please view our terms and conditions.

Martyn Lomax - Managing Director
Martyn is a skilled director and camera operator with a flair for location and studio work, from pre-production to technical application. Stoke-based, Martyn is approachable and easy to work with. He constantly strives for new opportunities and experiences. His keen eye for detail embodies Humanoid Productions' foundation of professionalism. Martyn has worked in the film and TV industry, in addition to developing a personal portfolio of work.

Thomas Down - Project Director
Tom is an extremely versatile and driven individual who manages productions with swift efficiency and a personable approach. Skilled in all aspects of pre and post-production, Tom's attention to detail takes each production to the next level. Hailing from Surrey, Tom is the first point of contact for client enquiries and is always accommodating. Tom will manage the client's expectations throughout the project.

Chris Gandy - Creative Director
Chris defines Humanoid Productions' creative edge. His highly skilled post-production and location cinematography creates a truly unique production. Chris functions as assistant director on Humanoid Productions shoots, bringing imaginative style and a professional finish to even low-budget projects. Chris will develop new concepts from a proposal, expand upon existing ideas and give the final polish to a client's production. Wolverhampton-based Chris has worked in television and pushes continual excellence.

Anthony Thane - Technical Director
Ant is an experienced Stoke-based sound engineer. From acquisition of sound to audio mixing and music composition, Ant consults on all technical aspects of a production, allowing Humanoid Productions to utilize current technologies in the best possible way. Ant will give all projects a professional, industry-standard music score and sound design to rival modern television and film productions. Friendly and easy-going, Ant is a pleasure to work with, offering the client a wealth of technical knowledge and experience.
