Bloodhound SSC is the latest attempt at breaking the land speed record by the title-holding team behind Thrust2 and Thrust SSC. The car is propelled by the combined force of a jet engine and rocket, with the goal of reaching 1,000 mph by early 2012; if successful, this will break the record by the widest ever margin.
Humanoid shot a behind-the-scenes lecture and question and answer session given by the team in conjunction with the Staffordshire STEM Centre (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics), as part of the fund-raising effort to raise the project profile.
