The town of Stafford has had a mayor since the King James Charter of 1614. In 2011, the position passed to Borough Council member James Stanley Highfield, a former sales director in the iron foundry industry. In celebration of his inauguration, the ceremony was followed by a parade through the streets of Stafford, a special service in St Mary’s church and a banquet at the civic offices. Humanoid were commissioned to capture the day’s events and produce a commemorative DVD of the ceremony and the celebrations.
